The first week of Zambia.
Last Saturday I have landed on Zambia from Korea, Hong Kong and South Africa. It’s been a long trip also no easy trip as well. On Sunday I and my supervisor have attended in worship service for 3 hours in the morning. Since Monday, my work has been stared officially. For this week, we did a lot of orientation and introduction of general work. I received job description and explanation from my supervisor and staff. Also getting to know each other and having a greeting with other organizations have been started as well. But rather than others, most important thing was I am learning about how to live in here and how to live with other. Breathing together, walking together. I just enjoying every day with no expectation and living with them. Just see what is going on with me, with us, in here. Quite interesting to me! Do you know what’s amazing in here? Frankly speaking just everything is amazing. A night of Zambia, A sun and sky of here, and the people of here! I have never met these are kinds of people before! They are just awesome! Even though there are few problems but still good. Now I am studying about the programs which are involved and getting understanding on my job.
One of the interns from Presbyterian Church of USA, Rev. Rebecca has leaved here. She has been working with TEEZ for 1 year and for 1 week she has helped is very well and gone. We had farewell and welcome lunch last week and farewell party with international people yesterday.
Here in TEEZ, beside me there are two more interns from USA. They are couple and have commissioned by Presbyterian Church of USA. Our works are not the same but I excited to get involved in TEEZ together.
I am still living in a guest house under the TEEZ and looking for enter to a new house but everything goes very fine. Still remain lots of work to be done as soon as possible.
I am so excited to next week!!
